2009/11/5		Powerful New Functions in Windows Embedded CE 6.0 R3 Advantech, the global leading ePlatform service provider, has announced their continued support for the new release of Windows Embedded CE 6.0 R3. There are several powerful functions added into this release, including Microsoft Office & PDF viewers, and Adobe Flash Lite 3.1.0. Release 3 gives power to differentiated devices with advanced technologies that deliver better user experiences—all on a solid platform to efficiently bring devices to market.

2009/11/2		Innovative New Features in Windows 7 for Embedded Systems Advantech, the embedded ePlatform service provider, has announced their support for the new release of Windows 7 for Embedded systems. There are several powerful new functions added into this release, including Windows Touch and Windows XP Mode. Windows 7 gives more muscle to embedded devices with advanced technologies that deliver better user experiences—all on a solid new platform to bring more advanced devices to market.

2009/9/23		Advantech Announces Moblin™ OS Support with Fast Boot Advantech, the global leading ePlatform service provider, has announced their decision to support the Moblin™ Operating System. The open-source Linux-based OS will help Advantech offer complete software solutions and new OS options to meet customer demands. As an important partner of Intel, Advantech will help develop Moblin™ solutions around the Intel® Atom™ platform. After Moblin v2 beta was released, Advantech successfully provided ready software solutions including their software API with fast boot function.

2009/6/1		Easily Update and Backup the BIOS in a Windows XP Environment Advantech, the leading global ePlatform services provider, today announced its unique embedded software management tool—BIOS Flash Utility. An embedded system is usually a closed environment, or a headless system tasked with performing one or a few dedicated functions. When a System Integrator needs to upgrade or update the BIOS, they usually need to turn off the embedded system and go into a DOS environment. However, this is not always so practical and one must be careful when updating the BIOS, usually requiring a technical person to do so—a better way would be to flash the BIOS in a Windows XP environment directly.
