Date: 2009/4/1

Overview

Medical imaging technology involves the creation, display, and interpretation of medical images for clinical purposes. Comprehensive instrumentation and software technology are required to create and process advanced medical images of diagnostic quality. Additionally, there is a need for high-quality image display products for x-ray, ultrasound, surgery monitoring systems, and endoscope visualization, as well as a variety of Picture Archiving and Communication Systems, (PACS) and Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine (DICOM) applications.

Applications

PictureArchiving and Communication Systems (PACS)
PACS offer these advantages:

  • The power to view images, and transfer and receive data at diagnostic, reporting, consultation and remote workstations.
  • The ability to archive to magnetic or other optional media for short or long term storage.
  • LAN or WAN connectivity as well as communication capability.
  • System integration that includes modality interfaces and gateway connectivity to healthcare and departmental information systems using one integrated system.

This video introduces how the MICA-101 passes the IPX4 water splash test. In this test, the MICA-101 is turned on before the test begins. The water jets shoot toward the center from a 180-degree semicircle, with a mean flow rate, per jet, of point zero seven liters per minute. After ten minutes of water assault, the MICA-101 is still running like a champ. The MICA-101 passes IEC60529 Edition 2-point-1, 2001-02 item IPX4, well exceeding the requirements of most normal clinical environments.
