Advantech Introduces 2-axis Stepping and Servo Motor Control Universal PCI Card
Date: 2010/1/12

The Industrial Automation Group of Advantech has just released the PCI-1220U, a 2-axis motion control card for stepping and pulse-type servo motors. PCI-1220U inherits all the features of the excellent PCI-1240U (4-axis Stepping and Servo Motor Control Universal PCI Card), but also includes hardware-driven linear and circular axis interpolation which ensures simultaneous movement across both axes, even when using multiple cards.

Other distinguishing characteristics of the PCI-1220U include programmable T/S-curve acceleration/deceleration rates, constant speed control, hand wheel and jog functions, up to 4 MPPS output for each axis, two pulse output types (CW/CCW or pulse/direction), up to 1 MHz encoder input for each axis, two encoder pulse input types (A/B phase and up/down), aBoardID switch, and position management and software limit switch functions.

Another key feature is that PCI-1220U uses the same common library as PCI-1240U, which allows users to develop a system that allows both cards to work in conjunction under one programming environment with great of flexibility. For advanced applications, Windows DLL drivers and user-friendly examples can be provided to decrease programming load. To purchase or if you have any questions, please contact your regional Advantech authorized dealer for more information.
