Rugged Handheld Terminal
Designed as a compact handheld mobile terminal, MARS-1030 is equipped with Intel XScale PXA255 400 MHz processor and Windows CE operating system, for the highest performance and trusted reliability in retail, warehousing, logistic and ordering service applications. The optional 1-D / 2-D barcode scanner lets users collect information efficiently and communicates with back-end host data servers seamlessly through WLAN 802.11b and Bluetooth. Wireless connectivity with peripheral devices such as portable printer could be supported. To cope with harsh environments, MARS-1030 is rated as IP54 water and dust resistant. It is also designed for ruggedness and can withstand a 1.5 meter (5 ft) drop on concrete. MARS-1030 is an OS-ready platform with WinCE pre-installed; WinCE is an open architecture platform that provides complete driver support, so users can develop application programs easily.
