| INTRODUCTION |
The PPC-102 accepts 586 class and Intel Pentium?/font> MMX processors up to 233 MHz. The PPC-100 accommodates up to 486DX4-100/120 and 5x86 processors. Both models use the same slim moulded casing and can be integrated with an optional touchscreen.
LCD Display
The PPC-102 is available with two different 10.4" LCD configurations. The PPC-102T comes with a high brightness TFT display with 800 x 600 resolution at 256 K colors. The PPC-102S comes with a DSTN display with 640 x 480 resolution at 256 K colors. Dot pitch for both models is 0.33 x 0.33 mm.
Expansion Options
The PPC-102 provides comprehensive I/O connections on the rear panel. There is an FDD port, parallel port, Ethernet connector, VGA port, 4 COM ports, a PS/2 mouse connector and a keyboard connector. In addition, the PPC-102 provides a secondary external IDE port for adding a second hard drive or other IDE device, and also provides mic-in, line-in and speaker-out connectors for connection to external audio signals or speaker systems.
Rugged Industrial Features
Despite its elegant looks, the PPC-102 has been especially designed to withstand the rigors of harsh industrial environments. The front panel has been built to IP 65/NEMA 4 specifications.
The PPC-102 has a 512 KB solid state disk (SSD) for durable and extremely fast data access of frequently used files. The essential boot-up files can be written to the SSD for faster performance and increased reliability. In addition, the PPC-102 accommodates M-Systems Corporation's revolutionary DiskOnChip?/font> 2000 Flash disk, thus giving users up to 72 MB of extremely fast and durable storage space.
