INTRODUCTION
The POS-760F is a powerful Intel?/font> Socket 370 based control board designed for high-end multimedia POS applications as well as other special OEM markets. It supports Intel CeleronTM processors up to 500 MHz and higher, as well as Pentium?/font> III processors that utilize 100 MHz front side bus speeds. The POS-760F is packed with special on-board features like 10/100Base-T PCI Ethernet, 36-bit XGA TFT LCD panel support as well as SSD support for DOC?2000 and CompactFlashTM . A Mini PCI socket for optional International version modem is provided. Optional AC97 3D stereo surround sound with speaker-out, CD-input, line-in, line-out and Microphone, is also supported. The POS-760F uses a standardized layout based on Western Digital's LPM/LPX format. It is 100% PC compatible and readily connectable to any existing PC hardware and software. Special POS features like four on-board serial ports, each with +5 V/+12 V power output capability, and two USB connections are available to accommodate a wide array of POS peripherals. The POS-760F includes two 168-pin DIMM sockets for up to 512 MB total on-board memory. The POS-760's industrial grade construction allows it to withstand continuous operation in a harsh POS environment where reliability is essential. Other on-board industrial features not found on conventional motherboards include a watchdog timer for dependability during unmanned operations, and CMOS backup to Flash ROM. An on-board SSD socket can support DiskOnChip?/font> Flash and CompactFlashTM module
