INTRODUCTION
The PCLD-885 provides 16 SPST power relay channels with a maximum contact rating of 250 VAC @ 5 A or 30 VDC @ 5 A. The PCLD-885 can be driven directly by the digital output from PC-LabCards through its 20-pin box header or its 50-pin Opto-22 compatible connector. The PCLD-885 is a low-cost alternative to SSR modules. Each of its inputs is equipped with a varistor that shunts the surge voltage of inductive loads or electromagnetic brakes, to protect its relay contact points. All output contacts are easily accessible through industrial screw terminals on each side of the board. Each relay is equipped with an adjacent LED for monitoring its On/Off status. To avoid overloading your PC s power supply, the PCLD-885 also provides a jumper and a screw terminal for an external power supply.
