INTRODUCTION
LabVIEW®is the leading graphical programming environment for data acquisition and instrument control applications. Advantech provides a 32-bit LabVIEW®driver for use with Advantech's PC-Labcards and remote data acquisition and control devices. Integrating your Advantech I/O solution with NI LabVIEW software, Advantech offers you LabVIEW Driver that supports all plug-in I/O functions with Advantech’s PCI-bus, ISA-bus, PC/104 Plug-in I/O, MIC-2000 series and ADAM series. With Advantech's complete computing platform, such as Industrial PCs (IPC), Workstations (AWS), Industrial Panel PCs (IPPC) and industrial-grade I/O products (like high-density isolation digital I/O cards and relay output cards), you can easily integrate Advantech DA&C devices with LabVIEW software to build a powerful industrial measurement and control solution. LabVIEW Driver acts as the interface with a library of VIs (Virtual Instruments) between Advantech I/O DLL drivers for Windows, and could be executed under a Windows 95/98/NT/2000 environment. Advantech LabVIEW Driver feature both high speed and normal speed data acquisition functions and provides two different interfaces for users. One is Easy I/O VIs (virtual instrument) for ease-to-use, and the other is Advanced I/O VIs for complex applications. Advantech's 32-bit driver has both a high speed and a normal speed data acquisition capability, and it comes with two different MMI interfaces. The EasyIO VIs (virtual instrument) come with a set of I/O blocks for performing basic I/O operations; it is easy to use. The AdvanceIO VIs has much greater flexibility and is provided for complex applications; it is also relatively more complex to use. Advantech's 32-bit drivers run in both Microsoft Windows 95/98, Windows NT and Windows 2000 environments.
