INTRODUCTION
The ES-1615 open frame PC is mainly focused on the digital kiosk market. It provides the possibility of highly integrated multimedia functions for kiosk applications. In addition, the open frame PC is constructed from a steel open-frame concept so that kiosk providers can design their specific IDs for their own unique uses. Steel open frames make it easy to use mount components from the rear to fulfill NEMA criterion for public installation. This open frame PC is based on fully integrated multimedia with easy expansion and easy mounting capabilities. The ES PC consists of a Celeron /Pentium CPU, a 15" color TFT LCD panel, a PCI Ethernet controller, four COM interfaces and a dynamic 16-bit stereo audio controller. This product also has the option for built-in CD-ROM drive and PCMCIA expansion sockets for users who want that flexibility. The ES-1615 will use an anti-glare, strengthened glass for the LCD display. As a kiosk product, a touch screen is always the best choice as a human-machine interface. Considering different demands, the strengthened glass can be replaced with MicroTouch's capacitive touch screen or EloTouch's SAW (Surface Acoustic Wave) touch screen for navigating kiosk applications.
