Advantech Announces acquisition of Netstar Technology

Advantech [TSE:2395] announces a cash acquisition of 62% ownership of Netstar Technology（a Public Company, not listed）through Advantech’s fully owned subsidiary, Advantech Investment Fund-A Co., Ltd.

Netstar Technology, a Taiwan industrial communication OEM/ODM manufacturer, has strong R&D capability, complete product lines, and flexible production capacity. The two companies will compliment each other to further develop the industrial communication segment.  Advantech will focus on sales and marketing of the industrial communication products under the Advantech’s brand name. Netstar Technology will develop a full range of ODM services via its strong RD and manufacturing capabilities.
