Advantech Makes POC-195 Point-of-Care Terminal Easier to UseDate: 2/8/2007
Taipei, Taiwan, Feb, 8 2007 – Advantech has released the POC-195 with 19” high-contrast LCD to help medical professionals in their day-to-day jobs, so they can focus on delivering better patient care. The POC-195 is sealed against water and dust, and has on/off buttons that are seamlessly integrated into the front panel for easy cleaning. A book light and optional alarm light, trim knob and touchscreen make the POC-195 easier than ever to use.
See the patient’s needs more clearly
The 19” LCD screen with 1300:1 contrast ratio allows patient charts and data to be seen more easily. The book light provides nurses and doctors with a convenient way to read paper documents in darkened patient areas without disturbing patients by turning on the main lights. The optional alarm light on top of the unit enables medical personnel to see medical emergency alerts shown by the POC-195.
Easily cleaned
The POC-195 is sealed against water and dust to IPX1 standards for easy cleaning. The optional trim knob enables medical professionals to precisely control specific parameters such as dosage, while the optional touchscreen provides a convenient interface that is easier to clean than a keyboard and mouse. The touchscreen on/off button makes the seamless front panel easy to clean by allowing the touchscreen to be temporarily disabled during cleaning.
Easy integration and scalability
With UL60601-1, EN60601-1 and IEC60601-1 approval, the all-in-one POC-195 is designed for easier integration with hospital infrastructures. The POC-195 also provides extensive connectivity with 4 COM ports, 6 USB 2.0 ports, a PCI bus slot, a mini PCI slot, a 100 megabit LAN port and a gigabit LAN port. Pentium M processors up to 2.0 GHz and up to 2 GB of RAM provide scalable processing power that meets medical application needs. These applications include patient monitoring and those in the operating room and intensive care unit.
