One-touch easy access

UbiQ-230 scenario control panel is equipped with seven function keys. Advantech has configured four main modes, including: “Good Morning,” “Video/Audio,” “Dining,” and “Good Night,” and all are available as standard defaults. Designed for one-touch easy access, users can configure all settings simultaneously without having to walk around the house to adjust each device individually. With a single press to the scenario control key, users may configure lighting, temperature, audio & video devices – instantly – and all adjustments are made exactly according to the user’s pre-defined preferences. Even more convenience is afforded by using the UbiQ-310 IR handheld remote controller: users can adjust the scenario remotely, from anywhere around the house.

Ubiquitous connectivity

UbiQ-230 has a 10/100Base-T Ethernet interface for remote management, an RS-485 interface for device control, and an IR port for remote control. UbiQ-230 is an open interface, and that means it is very easy to connect to almost any off-the-shelf device. A 20-pin expansion port is provided to support dedicated protocol modules, like LonWorks or DALI.

Software for everyone

UbiQ-230 is bundled with two practical applications: Scenario Manager and Scenario Designer, which assist Home/Building Automation System Integrators and Interior Designers to get new applications to market, quickly and without any hassles. Scenario Manager helps System Integrators to build Graphical User Interfaces (GUIs) more quickly over the Internet via the built-in Ethernet interface. Scenario Designer lets Interior Designers create appropriate scenarios easily, without needing help from the System Integrator. UbiQ-230 also supports Macromedia Flash for quick creation of swish GUIs on the 3.5" color TFT LCD screen. All of these application features are backed up by the Windows CE 5.0 OS, and an ARP 9 CPU, which together ensure that users will enjoy continuous, stable performance and snappy presentations.
